Glen Slade

Glen Slade has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Glen started their career as the Head of Strategy and Planning at Zeneca Agrochemicals, where they played a key role in the merger with Novartis to form Syngenta. Glen also managed annual planning, identified new corporate strategies, and led cross-functional projects.

After leaving Zeneca, Glen founded BrandFind Limited, a self-funded Internet shopping portal. Glen built the UK shopping portal, marketed it to consumers, and achieved continuous growth in site traffic.

Glen then worked as a Management Consultant at Syngenta, where they continued to contribute to the company's success. Glen also took on the role of Owner at StegoStik Limited, an independent venture they managed.

Glen later joined Arysta LifeScience as a Management Consultant and helped upgrade their global strategy. Glen then worked as a Business Development Manager at BCF, where they were responsible for developing financial models, negotiating contracts, and exceeding lead generation targets.

In 2011, they became a Marketing Consultant at Plant Impact before moving to Oxitec Ltd in 2012. At Oxitec, Glen served as the Vice President and Brazil General Manager, where they grew the subsidiary from one person to 80 staff and established operations processes and targets. Glen also achieved national biosafety approvals and secured deals with distributors and research partners.

In 2017, Glen founded and became the CEO of BigSis, a company specializing in sustainable alternatives to chemical insecticides. Glen reinvented the sterile insect technique and made it economically viable for a wider range of pests.
