Sarah Devriese is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in biomedical research, particularly in the fields of human and animal physiology, intestinal health, and autoimmune diseases. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wageningen University & Research since December 2021, Sarah is involved in the "INIMINI-health" project, developing innovative gut-on-a-chip models for pre-clinical studies. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Researcher at BioMed X Institute, focusing on immune cell interactions and developing a biobank for intestinal tissue, as well as a Doctoral Researcher at Ghent University's Faculty of Sciences, investigating intestinal barrier deficiencies in inflammatory bowel disease.
