Angus King

Global Head of Marketing at Bikmo

Angus King is the current Global Head of Marketing at Bikmo. Before that, they worked as the CRM Manager at SumUp from August 2019 to August 2020. In that role, they were responsible for optimizing CRM automation journey and driving revenue and adoption of current / new products through email and push with advanced audience segmentation. This included working closely with product managers, designers and copywriters. Angus was also responsible for adoption and growth of the Refer a Friend programme and business lending product in the UK market.

From November 2016 to July 2019, Angus worked as the Membership Product and Marketing Executive at British Cycling. In that role, they increased and retained a membership base of over 162,000 cyclists with a skillset that includes email marketing/building with complex data segmentation and automation; highly targeted social PPC campaigns; lead generation through core channels and third party partnerships; and product development which is led with data and a customer experience focus.

Angus is also the Founder of Cyced, a customer experience focused placement company. Angus has also worked as a Customer Experience Executive at O2 (Telefónica UK) from July 2014 to July 2015.

Angus King studied marketing, advertising and communications at the University of Gloucestershire, Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, and Ellesmere College.

Angus King reports to David George, CEO + Founder. and Jamie Fletcher - Marketing Executive UK reports to Angus King. They work with Amy Illingworth - Head of Product, Jorj Ives - CTO, and Paul Dinter - Risk + Compliance Officer.
