BilaEmpower is a national First Nations-led Employee Assistance Program and Public Benevolent Institution transforming how workplace wellbeing is delivered across Australia.

Established to address the long-standing gap in culturally safe mental health support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, BilaEmpower operates at the intersection of cultural integrity, clinical excellence, economic empowerment and workplace performance. 

Through a national network of First Nations allied health professionals operating their own sovereign practices, BilaEmpower delivers culturally integrated counselling, workplace wellbeing programs and advisory services that strengthen both individuals and organisations.

Our approach recognises that genuine cultural safety requires more than good intentions. It requires First Nations leadership, practitioner choice and models of care that reflect the holistic realities of First Nations wellbeing, including connection to culture, community and Country. 

By connecting organisations with a national panel of First Nations clinicians, BilaEmpower improves engagement with workplace wellbeing services while ensuring employees can access support that feels culturally safe, confidential and relevant to their lived experience.

At the same time, our model strengthens the First Nations professional services sector by creating structured economic opportunities for clinicians and small allied health businesses across Australia.
