Han Shi

Han Shi is a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer at BILL since August 2019, focusing on integrating machine learning into cloud-based payment systems for millions of small businesses. Prior experience includes working at Rice University's D2K Lab in early 2019, where a machine learning model was developed to detect fraudulent transactions with a 98% true positive rate, significantly improving transaction security. Han also served as a Software Engineer at MissFresh in mid-2018, implementing a YOLO-based object detection algorithm, and completed a research internship at Tsinghua University in 2016, contributing to a project on ancient Chinese document segmentation. Han holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University and a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
