Gail Mitchell

Gail Mitchell serves as the Executive Director of R&B/Hip-Hop at Billboard Magazine since April 2019, after previously holding the position of Senior Editor for R&B and Hip-Hop at Billboard since 1999. In this role, Gail oversees coverage of the R&B and hip-hop genres, contributing to weekly columns, feature stories, special supplements, and album reviews, while also submitting features for Billboard's website. Gail holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a Writing Emphasis from Loyola Marymount University.
