Dan Schaak

Dan Schaak has extensive experience in software development and engineering. Dan is currently working as a Software Development Manager at Billtrust since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at TherapyNotes, LLC as a Senior Developer from July 2016 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing features and functionality for a SaaS-based application in the mental health space. Dan also provided input on architectural discussions and mentored junior team members.

Before TherapyNotes, LLC, Dan worked at Stone Edge Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2013 to July 2016. Here, they designed, implemented, and maintained software for the eCommerce industry, focusing on order, inventory, and warehouse management. Dan also served as a hiring manager and mentor for an intern in the development team.

Earlier in their career, Dan worked at SeaChange International as a Senior Software Engineer from July 2006 to April 2013. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing real-time embedded middleware solutions for cable set-top boxes. Dan also coordinated with third-party developers for API integrations and worked closely with management and QA throughout the development life cycle.

Dan Schaak completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from Villanova University from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a CET degree in Engineering from DeVry University, where they studied from 2003 to 2006.
