Michael Tyznik

Principal Visual Designer at Billtrust

Michael Tyznik has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Michael is currently working at Billtrust, where they started as a Senior Visual Designer in September 2019, then promoted to Lead Visual Designer in February 2021, and currently holds the position of Principal Visual Designer since March 2023.

Prior to joining Billtrust, Michael worked at Beardwood&Co. from November 2012 to February 2019. Michael began as a Designer and was later promoted to Senior Designer. During their time there, they designed the logo, visual identity, and corporate website for Edgewell, a $2.3B personal care company. Michael also managed the development for the trilingual website and financial integrations.

Before Beardwood&Co., Michael served as a Graphic and Web Design Consultant at HighStreet from October 2006 to December 2018.

In 2009, Michael joined Pompei A.D. as a Project Manager, where they worked until October 2011. Michael was then promoted to the role of Art Director and was responsible for rebranding the 1400-store fashion retailer Monsoon. Michael designed the logo, visual style, corporate collateral, and environmental graphics, and wrote brand guidelines. Michael also refreshed the logo for the sister brand, Accessorize.

Additionally, Michael worked as a Retail Design Intern at Pompei A.D. from March 2008 to November 2008.

Overall, Michael Tyznik has gained extensive experience in visual design, logo and website development, brand guidelines, and project management throughout their career.

Michael Tyznik pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, they also had the opportunity to study at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, specializing in Architecture. To add to their education and skill set, Michael Tyznik obtained the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N3 certification from The Japan Foundation in February 2023.
