Jim Millen has worked in the multimedia industry since 2006. Jim began their career as a 3D and Motion gfx Artist for freelance video and 3D projects. In 2007, they worked as a Video Shooter/Editor for Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, shooting events and editing the video for promotional and sponsorship purposes. In 2008, they worked as a Video Editor for IMGRP, assisting with shooting and editing commercials for lawyers. In 2009, they worked as a Video Specialist for Interstate Batteries, producing videos for training, conventions, advertising, and creating 3D content. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a 3D Artist for the Archival Institute, creating 3D content and motion graphics, and also had a hand in hiring for a few months. In 2019, they worked as a Motion Graphics Artist for Stream (Stream Energy) and as a Senior Multimedia Specialist for Kynect, formerly Stream energy, where they edited video, motion graphics, and lots of green screen work, as well as shooting video, producing, and directing several productions from time to time. In 2022, they began working as a Multimedia Services Manager for BILT Incorporated (SaaS CX Platform).

Jim Millen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Radio, Television and Film from the University of North Texas between 2003 and 2007. Jim then went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Arts and Technology from The University of Texas at Dallas between 2010 and 2014.
