Mark O'Brien

Mark O'Brien is a design professional with extensive experience in leading design teams and delivering innovative user experiences. Currently serving as the Head of Design at Bilue since February 2025, Mark previously worked as an Experience Strategist and UX Design Consultant at GHO Sydney, where leadership and strategic design were key focuses. At VML, from June 2016 to April 2024, Mark held the position of Head of Experience Design, overseeing complex CX and UX projects for major brands and earlier served as a Senior Experience Designer, honing expertise in experience strategy and team leadership. Mark's earlier roles include Head of UX / Design Director at BlueArc Group and Lead UX/UI Designer, with a strong foundation in human-centered design methodologies. Mark's freelance work prior to 2013 involved collaboration with various agencies. Educational qualifications include a UX design degree from General Assembly and an Adobe Photoshop CS2 Masters Course focused on photography retouching.
