Howard Nelson is an accomplished attorney and planner with extensive experience in the environmental law sector. Nelson began a career in planning at the South Florida Regional Planning Council and continued to develop expertise in various roles, including Project Manager at General Development Corporation and Planner at Keith & Schnars, P.A. As a Partner at Bilzin Sumberg since April 1998, Nelson chairs the Environmental practice, providing assistance to clients in all phases of the development process, including site location, permitting, and environmental enforcement matters. Nelson also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law from September 2015 to January 2023 and has held partnership positions at Eckert Seamans and Fine Jacobson Schwartz Nash Block & England. Nelson earned a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University between 1989 and 1991.
