Deepayan Chanda

Deepayan Chanda is currently an Advisor at Binalyze. Prior to that, they were with WOPLLI, IEEE, ACS (Australian Computer Society), Cubic Consulting SARL, and NAB. At NAB, they served as the Cyber Defence Strategy and Architecture from May 2021 to May 2022. In this role, they were responsible for security architecture, strategy, thought leadership, and driving modernisation opportunities of security capabilities (e.g automation). Deepayan also drove the long-term security strategy and roadmap, managed threats and provided security advisory, and conducted penetration testing and red teaming. Additionally, they oversaw security operations, automation, orchestration, monitoring, detection and analytics, and compliance for the domain architecture.

Deepayan has also served as an Executive Member of the CyberEdBoard Community and as a Mentor and Advisor for FlexibleIR. Deepayan is currently a Director of Threat and Vulnerability Management (Domain Architect) at Standard Chartered Bank.

Deepayan Chanda has a post-graduate degree in AI and Machine Learning from Purdue University. Deepayan also has a senior secondary degree in mathematics and science from Kendriya Vidyalaya. In addition, they have a 12th class degree in PCM from KV Ichapur No 1, West Bengal. Deepayan also has various certifications from MITRE Engenuity, ACS (Australian Computer Society), Simplilearn, LinkedIn, Cato Networks, and Purdue University.
