Alex Matrosov has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alex currently serves as the Founder and CEO of BINARLY since April 2021. Prior to this, they were a Security Advisor (HW/FW) at ARRIVAL from February 2020 to April 2021. From December 2019 to April 2021, Alex held the position of Chief Offensive Security Researcher at NVIDIA. Alex also served as the Offensive Security Research Lead (HW/FW) and Embedded Security Lead at NVIDIA from August 2018 to December 2019 and October 2017 to December 2019, respectively.
Before joining NVIDIA, Alex worked at Cylance Inc. as a Principal Research Scientist from October 2016 to October 2017. Alex also held roles at Intel Corporation as a Principal Security Researcher from October 2015 to October 2016 and as a Senior Security Researcher from December 2013 to October 2015.
Alex's earlier work experience includes positions at ESET as a Security Intelligence Team Lead from December 2011 to December 2013 and as a Senior Malware Researcher from November 2010 to December 2013. Alex also worked at Gameland as a Writer at Hacker magazine from November 2010 to December 2013. Additionally, they founded and was a Senior Virus Researcher at the 100% Virus Free Podcast from October 2009 to November 2013.
Alex began their career as a Senior Lecturer at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI from September 2007 to December 2012. Throughout their career, they have been an active participant in various security conferences, serving as a Speaker/Committee Member at Security Conferences since February 2003.
Alex Matrosov began their education at Moscow College of Management and New Technologies, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from 1997 to 2001. Alex then went on to National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), where they obtained a Master's degree in Information Security from 2001 to 2007. Continuing their studies at the same institution, they pursued a PhD in Information Security from 2007 to 2010, which remains unfinished.
