Kai Michaelis

Kai Michaelis is currently the Head of Platform Engineering at Binarly Inc. and a co-founder of Niche Systems. They co-founded the Open Source Firmware Foundation and previously served as Chief Technology Officer at immune GmbH. Kai has extensive experience in system security, having worked as a System Security Architect at 9elements and as a software developer at the p≡p foundation, where they contributed to the Free Software implementation of OpenPGP in Rust. They earned a Master of Science in IT Security from Ruhr-Universität Bochum and completed their Abitur at Max-Eyth-Schule Kirchheim/Teck.
