John Dwyer

John Dwyer currently serves as the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Head of ARC Labs at Binary Defense since March 2024. Prior to this role, John held several positions at IBM from October 2017 to March 2024, including Head of Research for IBM Security X-Force and Global Threat Assessment Lead for X-Force IR. John also contributed to defensive cyber operations at MIT Lincoln Laboratory from February 2012 to October 2017 and worked as a Windows System Engineer at the Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University from September 2009 to February 2012. John Dwyer has an educational background that includes a degree from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, as well as studies at Bethany College, Pittsburgh Technical College, and West Virginia University, with a focus on the MNP+ Program in Information Technology.
