Wendy Bushell

Wendy Bushell is an experienced operations professional with a strong background in the biopharmaceutical sector. As the Director of Operations at Bind Research since September 2025, Wendy is instrumental in developing the operations for the UK's first not-for-profit Focussed Research Organisation. Previously, Wendy served as Vice President of Operations at CoSyne Therapeutics from September 2023 to September 2025 and Director of Operations at AbCellera from June 2021 to September 2023, where responsibilities included establishing UK operations and integrating them with the overseas headquarters. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Operating Officer at FairJourney Biologics/Iontas and Executive Director of Operations at IONTAS Ltd, contributing to the strategic growth and eventual sale of the company. Wendy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from the University of Oxford, an MBA from The Open University, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey.
