Chad Small

Chad Small is an experienced technology leader with a diverse background in software development, architecture, and security. Currently serving as CISO and DevSecOps Lead at Bind personalized health plan since January 2017, Chad specializes in DevSecOps practices, automation, and cloud-native solutions, focusing on continuous improvement and security compliance. As the owner of The Small Company, Inc., Chad supports technical project management through a partnership with Emily Small. Previous roles include Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect at Bloom Health, where Chad oversaw technical architecture and security for a microservice platform, and extensive experience as Integration Architect at Carol and Architect at UnitedHealth Group. Chad's career began as a systems programmer and project team leader at Applied Systems, Inc., culminating in a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
