Currently, Ian serves as Chief Executive Officer at Combined Metal Industries (CMI) since August 2021. Additionally, Ian has held the position of Sales & Marketing Director at Binder Group Pty Ltd since November 2007. Prior to this, Ian had a notable career at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission from 1998 to 2007, where roles included Trade Commissioner in the Philippines, Thailand, and Senior Trade Commissioner in Tehran. Ian's earlier career includes management positions at Tubemakers of Australia from 1990 to 1998, overseeing both Tubemakers Steel WA and Tubemakers Sheet and Coil. Ian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Curtin University, completed in 1996, with a focus on business, management, marketing, and related support services.

Collaborating with construction engineers and planners upon commencement of projects is a key service Binder provides to ensure the final system meets the end clients schedule, design and budget requirements. Throughout the history of the company, Binder has formed strong partnerships with international EPC companies completing many prestigious projects that have become reference sites for the EPC and Binder.
