Suzanne Silva has over a decade of experience in medical illustration and graphic design. Suzanne started their career at the Dallas Museum of Nature & Science as an Animator and Exhibitor. Suzanne then worked as an Animator Intern at McGraw-Hill, where they collaborated on various medical animation projects. Suzanne also worked at the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy as an Animator, specializing in gastroenterology animations. Later, they joined UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas as a Student Employee. Afterward, they worked as a Staff Medical Illustrator at Electronic Publishing Services Inc. Following that, they joined MPS North America as a Biomedical Content Illustrator and Media Specialist. Currently, they are working at BioReference Laboratories as a Senior Graphic Designer and Medical Illustrator and recently became the Director of Creative Branding.
Suzanne Silva, CMI has a Master of Arts degree in Biomedical Communications from UT Southwestern Medical Center, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Arts and Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Suzanne has obtained the Certification as a Medical Illustrator (CMI) from the Association of Medical Illustrators in 2013. Suzanne also holds the Google UX Design Specialization certification, which was obtained in 2024 from Google.
