Brian Astry serves as the Battalion Chief of Training and a Firefighter/EMT at Chaska Fire Department since July 2018, holding multiple fire and emergency medical certifications. In addition, Brian has been the Senior Manager of Quality Control at Bio-Techne since February 2019, overseeing a department that tests bioactivity in various proteins and antibodies. Previous roles include Senior Development Scientist at Beckman Coulter and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota. Brian earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, having also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at St. Olaf College.
