Chris Heger, Ph.D., is an accomplished leader in Applications Science with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Director of Applications Science at Bio-Techne since October 2016, Chris has progressed through various roles including Senior Manager and Manager. Prior to this, Chris was Manager of Field Applications at ProteinSimple, where effective management of a support team ensured high-quality service to customers. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute focused on antibody and protein purification, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Cornell University, with research concentrating on the molecular biology of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Chris began an academic career as a Howard Hughes Undergraduate Research Scholar at the University of Vermont.
