Simon Armitage

Simon Armitage is an experienced chemist currently working at Bio-Techne since August 2019. Previously, Simon held various positions including Senior Research Scientist I at Albany Molecular Research Inc. from July 2017 to July 2019, and Senior Scientist - Medicinal Chemistry at Redx Pharma from April 2013 to April 2017. Simon also served as Senior Chemist at Peakdale Molecular from August 2008 to April 2013, and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Birkbeck, University of London from November 2006 to August 2008. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Technician at Moffitt Cancer Center and as an Industrial Placement Student at Syngenta. Simon holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Cardiff University, awarded in 2006, and a Master of Chemistry (MChem) from The University of Salford, obtained in 2002.
