Shane Barton

Shane Barton is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Finance at BioAge Labs since September 2023, Shane previously held significant leadership roles at Precision BioSciences, Inc. as Vice President of Finance & Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, where responsibilities included SEC reporting, compliance, and financial management for a publicly traded biotech company. At Vivelix Pharmaceuticals, Shane established and led the finance and accounting departments while serving as a trusted advisor to the Board and executive team. Shane's career also includes pivotal roles at Cempra Pharmaceuticals, GigaBeam, bioMerieux, Grant Thornton, and Lynch & Howard, with foundational experience gained as a Paratrooper in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Appalachian State University.
