David Johnson

David Johnson is a seasoned professional in drug metabolism, currently serving as Senior Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) at BioAgilytix since August 2000. Johnson's expertise encompasses the design and oversight of in vitro drug metabolism experiments throughout the drug development process, with a focus on metabolic stability, CYP450 inhibition, metabolite profiling, and reaction phenotyping. Prior to BioAgilytix, Johnson was the Drug Metabolism Product Development Manager at Pharmazyme, where a contract research program was developed utilizing recombinant cytochrome P450s. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Hybritech, where contributions were made to the design and implementation of a robotic system for radiolabeling monoclonal antibodies. Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Chemistry from UC San Diego.
