Alan Jerusalmi, PhD

Alan Jerusalmi, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and healthcare. Alan is currently the Chief Services Officer and Co-Founder of Bio-AI Health, an innovative AI startup focused on precision medicine and clinical biomarker development. Alan'srole involves improving success rates for discovery, translational research, and clinical trials.

Prior to this, Dr. Jerusalmi served as the VP of Business Development Pharma Services and Medical Device at RSIP Vision from January 2019 to March 2020, where they were responsible for developing partnerships in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

From May 2017 to December 2018, they worked as the VP of Client Services and Project Management at WuXi NextCODE, a contract genomics organization. Alan was responsible for implementing workflows and processes to support and grow the commercial business, collaborating closely with different teams to ensure successful project delivery and client partnerships.

Before joining WuXi NextCODE, Dr. Jerusalmi held various roles at Definiens, The Tissue Phenomics Company, from January 2011 to May 2017. As the Senior Director Global Head of Services, they were responsible for all global services operations and played a key role in the strategic guidance, project quality, and project management of clinical, pre-clinical, and research projects. Alan also served as the Director of Professional Services/Technical Field Operations in North America, overseeing the development of image analysis strategy and professional services delivery for all projects in North America.

Dr. Jerusalmi has also worked at Roche as an Image Analysis Consultant and at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as an Image Analysis Consultant and Research Scientist. At Vertex Pharmaceuticals, they led the team in image analysis projects, developed algorithms for disease marker quantification, and conducted experiments related to neuroimmune studies and CNS-acting drugs.

Dr. Jerusalmi started their career as a Research Fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from February 2004 to September 2007.

Alan Jerusalmi, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of South Florida from 1993 to 1997. Alan then pursued a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology at Florida Atlantic University from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they obtained their Ph.D. in Microbiology from Trinity College Dublin, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Alan further expanded their educational background by completing a postdoctoral degree in Biotechnology at Harvard Medical School from 2004 to 2007.
