Sofie Metsu is currently the Director of Development at Biocartis, having held multiple leadership roles including Senior Development Lead and Development Lead. They previously served as Section Head of the molecular pathology/genomics unit at HistoGeneX and worked as an assay developer for DNA/RNA. Sofie also gained early experience as a Junior Medical Writer at Emtex Medical Writing and as a mandaatassistente ad interim at UAntwerpen. They earned a bioengineering degree from Universiteit Gent and an earlier degree in bioengineering from Universiteit Antwerpen while completing a PhD at the University of Antwerp from 2008 to 2013.
