Project Lead - CRISPR Editing of Human Cells

Luke Jun has demonstrated strong leadership and research capabilities throughout various academic and extracurricular endeavors. Experience includes serving as Captain for both Varsity and JV Men's Lacrosse at Bellarmine College Preparatory, founding the Bellarmine Biotech Club, and excelled in the Original Oratory competition within the Speech and Debate team. Luke Jun completed a Bioinformatics internship at the Center for Biomedical Science & Policy at George Mason University, focusing on kidney and liver microbiomes for disease diagnosis. Additionally, Luke Jun was a Project Intern at IPMD, Inc., developing educational resources for underserved communities. Current engagements include founding The Guatemala Initiative to support students in Guatemala and leading a community project on CRISPR gene editing at BioCurious. Academic pursuits span institutions such as Brown University, University of Pennsylvania, and University of California, Irvine, with a strong emphasis on developmental and cell biology.
