Kanèsis is a reality that searches solutions for a sustainable world, within the development of natural derived materials, with a minimum impact on the environment, that are able to create benefits for all. The 3rd of April 2015 the request for a patent for a bio-composite obtained from plants, derived from the industrial hemp waste, was presented. This biocomposite, HempBioPlastic (HBP), has shown to be more performant compared to other bio-plastics on the market. L’HBP is the 20% lighter and the 30% stronger than PLA. One of the first applications is the extrusion of special filaments for FDM 3d printers, but it can also be used in different sectors, giving space to future developments. Imagining a tomorrow where sustainability and respect for the environment will be the main points of the industrial production, Kanèsis aims to convert this vision into a solid reality where eco-sustainable materials will replace the petrochemical ones.
