Richard Openshaw

Richard Openshaw is currently the Engineering Manager for Consumables, R&D, and Plastics-Pouch Lines at BioFire Diagnostics, LLC, managing a team of engineers focused on design and development since 2016. Previously, Richard served in various engineering and quality roles, including Senior Quality and Manufacturing Business Consultant at Infor and Technical Applications Engineer at Valtek, Inc. Richard's extensive experience spans multiple industries, such as medical devices, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals, where they led significant process improvements and managed complex projects. Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Mechanical Engineering, and Middle East Studies from Brigham Young University and has completed 22 hours towards an MBA at the same institution.
