Bill Scott is an experienced scientist and supervisor with a strong background in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and process development. At Biogen Idec since 2002, Bill has successfully led the technical transfer for the clinical to commercial launch of Eloctate™ and Alprolix™, while also managing over 20 manufacturing processes for various internal and external clients. Previously, Bill held a supervisory role in manufacturing, overseeing large and small-scale cell culture and purification operations for products such as Avonex and Tysabri. Prior experience includes a shift lead position at Baxter Healthcare, where Bill supervised production for recombinant blood clotting factors, and a manufacturing associate role at Chiron Corporation, focusing on monoclonal antigens for blood test kits. Bill holds a B.S. in Microbiology from Humboldt State University.
