John Gibson

John Gibson is an experienced government affairs and public policy professional with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as the Head of Federal Government Affairs & Policy Alliances at Biogen since October 2014, John has held various roles including Director of Federal Public Policy and Government Affairs, Head of Political Programs, and Associate Director of State Public Policy and Government Affairs. Responsibilities include overseeing public policy and government affairs for the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to Biogen, John was the Director of State Government Affairs at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, advocating for blood cancer patients. John's earlier experience includes positions at the United States Embassy in Riyadh, a legal advisor role with The Law Firm of Mohamed Al-Sharif, and Director of State Government Relations at Pfizer. John’s career began in state government relations with the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). Educationally, John holds a degree from the University of Maryland.
