Luis Castelo Branco

Luis Castelo Branco, MD, MPH, is currently an Associate Medical Director of Drug Safety at Biogen, where they apply their extensive medical expertise. They served as an Associate at McKinsey & Company from 2022 to 2024 and were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital from 2018 to 2022. Before these roles, Luis practiced as a neurosurgeon at Hospital Regional de Osasco and Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da USP from 2006 to 2017, and was a partner at Centro Neurocirúrgico de São Paulo. They pursued their medical education at Universidade de São Paulo, earning a degree in Medicine in 2001, and later obtained a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2021.
