Mehool Patel

Mehool Patel is an experienced professional in the field of bioinformatics and scientific computing, currently serving as the Associate Scientific Director and Head of Digital Lab Informatics at Biogen since 2018. Mehool has a robust background in managing and optimizing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data pipelines, leading teams to automate processes and integrate systems both on-premises and in the cloud. Previous roles at Nationwide Children's Hospital, UPMC, and the University of Guelph have equipped Mehool with extensive expertise in developing bioinformatics workflows, ensuring compliance with CAP/CLIA and HIPAA regulations, and employing various programming languages for full-stack application development.
