Sanjay Danthi

Sanjay Danthi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Director of Bioassays and High Throughput Screens at Biogen since April 2022. Previously, Sanjay held key positions at Akebia Therapeutics, including Director of Biology - Research and Senior Principal Scientist, where responsibilities involved leading drug discovery programs and developing cell-based assays for small molecule compounds. At Sanofi Genzyme, a tenure from November 2007 to January 2019, Sanjay advanced small molecules through various discovery stages and contributed to assay development for target identification. Earlier experience includes roles at ChanTest focused on cardiac safety pharmacology and as a Post Doctoral Fellow at The Ohio State University, where Sanjay characterized ion channels. Sanjay holds a PhD in Pharmacology from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Bombay.
