Xiaodong Lu

Xiaodong Lu currently serves as a Scientist at Biogen, a position held since May 2021, and previously held the role of Senior Associate Scientist. Prior to Biogen, Xiaodong Lu worked at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. as a Principal Research Associate from September 2019 to April 2021, where significant contributions included generating novel capsid libraries, discovering lead capsids through directed evolution, and performing preclinical assays to characterize rAAV vectors. Xiaodong Lu’s earlier experience includes a tenure at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from June 2007 to September 2019 as a Senior Research Associate, engaging in assay development for high-throughput gene expression profiling, leading pharmacological small-molecule screens, and managing large-scale sample collections. Xiaodong Lu holds a Master of Science in Veterinary Microbiology and Immunobiology from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine from China Agricultural University.
