Yan Xu

Yan Xu, MD, PhD, FCP, is the Section Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics at Biogen, where they lead a team focused on clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics. Previously, Yan held senior roles at Johnson & Johnson from 2015 to 2022, including the head of Oncology Pharmacometrics. Their earlier experience includes positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck, and Simcere Pharmaceutical Group. Yan completed a medical residency in Ob. & Gyn. at Peking University People's Hospital and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science at Rutgers University, alongside a Master’s in Pharmacometrics from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Yan serves on the Board of Regents for the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
