Principal Scientist R&d at Biognosys

Christopher Below has a diverse background in research and development, with experience in both academic and industry settings. Christopher started their career as a Research Intern at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, focusing on cancer therapeutics. Christopher then moved on to The Institute of Cancer Research as a Research Intern, where they studied genomic instability in colorectal cancer. Christopher continued their research at Brandenburgisch Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg as an Undergraduate Research Assistant & Tutor in cell biology. Christopher further enhanced their skills as a Visiting Scientist at the European Bioinformatics Institute, working on bioinformatics and data science. Most recently, Christopher joined Biognosys as a Senior Scientist in R&D, specializing in proteomics research, before being promoted to the role of Principal Scientist R&D. Throughout their roles, Christopher has demonstrated expertise in experimental techniques, bioinformatics, data analysis, and scientific communication.

Christopher Below completed their A Level at BSZ für Gastgewerbe "Ernst Lößnitzer" Dresden from 2010 to 2013, majoring in Biotechnology and Lab Course Biotechnology. Christopher then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg from 2013 to 2017. Subsequently, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer Sciences from The University of Manchester between 2017 and 2021.
