Devika Bhalerao

Devika Bhalerao is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in research and development, particularly within the fields of microbiology and entomology. Since December 2019, Devika has been employed as Scientist I in the ADME-Tox Division at BioIVT, focusing on designing and executing laboratory experiments for new products and applications. Prior roles include Research Assistant at the University of Maryland Baltimore, where Devika utilized Next Generation Sequencing techniques to screen mosquitoes for parasites, and Graduate Research Assistant at Louisiana State University, working on metagenomics for marsh health bioindicators. Experience also encompasses significant research contributions at King Edward Memorial Hospital Research Centre, Pune, including the Pune Microbiome Study and work on drug delivery systems for tuberculosis treatment. Devika's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Entomology from Louisiana State University and a Master's degree in Microbiology from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
