Jonathan Gui has a diverse work experience in various research roles. Starting from 2018, they worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at Foothills Medical Centre, where they focused on investigating the clinical use of microbubble contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the surveillance and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. In 2019, Jonathan worked as a Research Assistant at the Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute, specifically at the Walus Laboratory. During this time, they were a recipient of the Centre for Blood Research (CBR) Summer Student Award. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Michael Smith Laboratories, where they conducted predictive mathematical modeling of morphogenesis and differentiation patterning within pluripotent stem cell colonies. Currently, Jonathan is employed as a Research Associate at Biolinq, starting in 2023.
Jonathan Gui started their education at Sir Winston Churchill High School, where they obtained an Alberta High School Diploma from 2014 to 2017. Following this, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia in 2017 and is expected to graduate in 2023 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 2019, they obtained Biosafety Certification and Chemical Safety Certification from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, they also hold a CPR-C (Adult, Child, & Infant) & AED Certification from Lifesaving Society Canada.
