Jake Schmalz

Jake Schmalz has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Jake currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at BioLite, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Briggs & Stratton for over two decades. At Briggs & Stratton, Jake held various roles including Director of Engineering - Lithium-Ion Batteries, Corporate Battery Team Senior Engineering Manager, Lead Product Engineer, Manager - R&D Design Team, and Product Engineer in different departments and teams. With each role, they gained experience in areas such as design, development, assessment, and commercialization of electrical energy storage systems, as well as driving innovative products through the new product development process.

From 1998 to 2003, Jake Schmalz attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
