Thomas Jackiewicz

Thomas Jackiewicz is President of the University of Chicago Medical Center and COO of UChicago Medicine health system, where he leads the clinical enterprise. He is recognized as a strategic visionary who has collaborated with physicians at academic health systems across the U.S. to drive transformational change, lower costs and improve patient care.

Prior to this role, Jackiewicz was CEO and Senior Vice President of USC Keck Medicine and held executive positions at UCSD Health, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Stanford University School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University and Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System. In 2019 and 2020, Keck Hospital achieved a top 20 ranking on the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals Honor Roll, and in 2018 the nursing program at Keck Hospital achieved Magnet® recognition, the highest national honor for nursing excellence.

Previously, Mr. Jackiewicz has served as president of Global Health Data @ Work, a Board Member of the California Hospital Association, a Member of the Advisory Board on Health Care, and National Chair of the AAMC Group on Business Affairs. He holds his MPH in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and his BBA in Accounting from The University of Georgia.
