Reshef Shilon

Reshef Shilon has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML).

Starting in 2000, Reshef worked as a research scientist in the IDF for five years. During this time, they conducted research and contributed to various projects.

From 2006 to 2007, Reshef worked as a software engineer at Check Point, where they were responsible for a firewall product for cellular operators and IPv6 infrastructure. Reshef also took on the role of knowledge management lead.

In 2007, they joined ClearForest, a Thomson-Reuters company, as a senior NLP software engineer. Their responsibilities included grammar development in different languages and enhancing the grammar development process.

From 2010 to 2012, Reshef worked as an NLP consultant for TipRanks, IntuView, and IST. Reshef built the NLP engine for TipRanks' product and combined open-source code with proprietary development to create a high-quality event extraction platform.

From 2012 to 2014, Reshef served as the director of research at Ginger Software's Personal Assistant division (acquired by Intel). Reshef built a team and worked on creating smart Virtual Personal Assistant (VPA) applications, focusing on algorithmic development and providing a scalable statistical framework.

In 2014, Reshef joined Intel Corporation as an NLP research manager. Reshef led a team of NLP and ML researchers, focusing on applied research in Spoken Language Understanding.

Reshef then joined Facebook in 2016, where they held multiple roles. Reshef started as an applied research scientist, conducting and leading research on various topics such as dialog management, multilingual text classification, and content similarity. Reshef also contributed to a large-scale similarity ranking package. Later, they became a technical lead, leading ML research and development for detecting harmful content and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

In 2022, Reshef joined Biolojic Design, Ltd. as a senior ML researcher. Details about this role are not provided.
