Biome Sustainability Ventures is a government-funded startup supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Science & Technology, and the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. We are focused on creating circular, sustainable, and responsible alternatives to conventional building materials by transforming agricultural waste into high-performance products.

Our flagship innovation, BiomeBoard, is made from crop residues like rice straw, wheat straw and sugarcane bagasse—offering a deforestation-free, formaldehyde-free solution that reduces pollution, conserves resources, and lowers carbon emissions. By replacing timber-based products, we not only help mitigate climate change but also address the issue of stubble burning that plagues northern India.

At the heart of Biome’s mission is a commitment to the circular economy: designing out waste, regenerating natural systems, and supporting rural livelihoods by creating new income streams for farmers. We believe the future of construction lies in sustainable materials that are as responsible as they are resilient.
