Beth Matthews

Beth Matthews, CG(ASCP)CM, has extensive experience in the field of genetic analysis, having served as a Variant Analyst at Bionano Genomics, Inc. from January 2022 to September 2024, where responsibilities included performing Optical Genome Mapping studies and providing written reports on genetic analysis. Prior to this role, Beth worked at Emory University Hospital as a Cytogenetics Technologist from August 2014 to January 2022, performing DNA isolation, quantification, microarray analysis, and cytogenetic analysis on oncology and constitutional samples. Beth began a career at Emory University in June 1997, holding the position of Clinical Genetic Technologist, where tasks included managing microarray setups, specimen accessioning, troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and training new personnel. Beth obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morgan State University from 1988 to 1992.
