Charles Schoonover

Charles Schoonover is a seasoned software development leader with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Software Development at Bionano since May 2021, Charles previously held the same title at Agena Bioscience from October 2017 to May 2021. Charles' earlier roles include Director of Software Engineering at BioNano Genomics, where responsibilities included leading the software team for Instrument Control Software, and Director of Instrument Engineering at Intrexon Corporation, overseeing hardware and software engineering groups. At Cyntellect, as a Principal Software Engineer, Charles contributed significantly to developing commercial instrument solutions for life sciences research.
