Michaela West is an experienced professional in the field of molecular biology and genetics, currently serving as a Field Application Scientist and Data Services and Technical Support Scientist at Bionano since September 2020. Previously, Michaela held roles as an Engineer and Project Manager at INRAE GENTYANE Genotyping and Sequencing Platform, managing projects related to Optical Genome Mapping, SSR, and SNP genotyping from January 2017 to August 2020. Earlier experience includes developing the CRISPR/Cas9 system in Drosophila at GReD, conducting sequence capture projects and optimizing NGS library preparation at Biogemma, and participating in various internships that contributed to skills in genotyping, sequencing, and biological treatments. Michaela holds multiple degrees in biology and biotechnology, including a Master's degree in Project Management and Innovation in Biotechnology from Université de Nimes.
