Amit Kumar

Amit Kumar is an experienced professional in pharmaceutical safety and regulatory affairs, currently serving as the Director of Safety Operations at BioNTech SE since October 2023. Prior to this role, Amit held several key positions at Wockhardt UK from April 2017 to September 2023, including Head of Drug Safety & Information and Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV), as well as roles in pharmacovigilance compliance and senior drug safety. Before joining Wockhardt, Amit worked as the National Safety Officer at Fresenius Kabi UK and as a Regulatory Affairs Executive and Deputy QPPV at Cambridge Regulatory Services. Amit holds a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice from Cardiff Metropolitan University, a PhD in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of the West of Scotland, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
