Anja Hanisch

Anja Hanisch, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of business development, alliance management, licensing, and project development. Anja is currently working at BioNTech SE as the Vice President of Business Development. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Business Development at BioNTech SE. Anja worked at MorphoSys from 2012 to 2022, where they held various roles including Senior Director of Business Development & Alliance Management, Head of Licensing, Director of Business Development, Associate Director of Business Development, Senior Manager of Business Development, and Manager of Business Development. Before joining MorphoSys, they worked at Cancer Research Technology as a Project Development Manager, where they were responsible for sourcing, evaluating, protecting, developing, and commercializing intellectual property in the field of oncology. Anja has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Cancer Research UK, conducting research on the interaction of Notch and Wnt signaling pathways in in vivo models. Anja started their career as a PhD Student at the Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry.

Anja Hanisch, PhD has an extensive education history in the field of biology and biochemistry. Anja obtained their Dr. rer. nat. degree from the Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry between 2003 and 2007, specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology as well as Biochemistry. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 1998 to 2003. Their Master's degree focused on a diverse range of subjects including Cell and Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, and Virology.
