Dawn Chua

Dawn Chua is an experienced biotechnologist with a strong background in upstream manufacturing operations within the biopharmaceutical sector. At Lonza, from 2022 to May 2024, Dawn excelled in managing both small-scale and large-scale mammalian cell culture campaigns, focusing on single-use bioreactor systems and executing workflows related to fermentation monitoring and cell harvesting. Currently, as a Senior Biotechnologist at BioNTech SE, since May 2024, Dawn supports GMP operations at Singapore's first mRNA vaccine facility, overseeing pre-PPQ readiness and contributing to tech transfer activities. Prior experience includes a role at GSK from 2015 to 2018, where Dawn performed GMP manufacturing activities in aseptic production while ensuring compliance with strict cleanroom protocols. Dawn holds a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science from Temasek Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science from The University of Western Australia.
