Dr. Andreas Su

Dr. Andreas Su is currently the Director of Gene Synthesis at BioNTech SE, where they lead a team and oversee the development and implementation of gene synthesis and PCR methodologies. With a solid foundation in small RNA biology, Dr. Su earned their Ph.D. from Philipps-Universität Marburg, graduating magna cum laude. They previously held roles including Head of Gene Synthesis and Associate Director at BioNTech SE, as well as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology. Dr. Su is experienced in project and budget management, as well as safety and laboratory planning for multiple facilities.
